Time ring
The time ring is DoppiNow's always-visible clock. During a session, the toolbar icon becomes a ring that shrinks as a timed session runs out, or fills every 25 focused minutes in an open-ended one. The badge shows the minutes left, and its color shows whether you're on course, away or on a break.

How it works
The icon becomes a ring
During a timed session, DoppiNowβs toolbar icon shrinks as time runs out.
Minutes left
The badge shows the minutes left, βββ in an open-ended session and βrestβ on a break.
Colors that tell you
Green on course, amber-brown when away, gray on neutral pages, purple on a break, dusk blue in the last 5 minutes.
Keep it in view
Pin the DoppiNow icon. Alt+Shift+R opens the popup.
All the details
In a timed session, the ring shows the share of time left. In an open-ended session, it fills once for every 25 minutes of focus, then starts again.
The badge shows the minutes left, rounded up, in a timed session. It shows "β" in an open-ended session and "rest" on a break.
Colors: green on course, amber-brown when away, gray on neutral or unclear pages, and purple on a break. In the last 5 minutes of a session of 15 minutes or more, the badge turns dusk blue, except on an unrelated page or during a break (see Wrap-up signal and check-ins).
The ring is redrawn every 30 seconds and on every change. It comes back by itself if Chrome restarts DoppiNow, and the plain icon returns when the session ends.
Pin the DoppiNow icon to keep it in view. Alt+Shift+R opens the popup.
Settings: Always on during a session.
Why it helps with ADHD
In a meta-analysis of 27 studies, children and adolescents with ADHD judged time less accurately than their peers (Zheng et al. 2022). Experts advise to "use a timer that actually shows time moving" (Josel 2021) and to externalise time (Barkley).
No study has tested DoppiNow itself. DoppiNow is a productivity tool, not a treatment for ADHD.
