DoppiNow for developers with ADHD

Docs, issues and the repo count as work. The rabbit hole gets a calm nudge, and coming back pays XP.

A Chrome extensionNever blocks7 days freeLast updated

Drift for 10 seconds, and the page ripples.

No block and no guilt: a calm nudge, one tap back, and +25 XP for coming back.

Sound familiar?

  • The rabbit hole. You look up one error and end up reading about a framework you’ll never use.
  • The tab “for a second”.A build runs, you open something else while you wait, and the thread is gone.
  • Hyperfocus on the wrong thing. An afternoon disappears into a side quest while the actual ticket waits.

How DoppiNow helps

Each one has its own page, with every detail.

  • Your work sites never nag

Add your docs, repo host and issue tracker to “Part of my work”. Subdomains are included, and pages on the list are decided on your device.

    Site lists: how it works
  • Park the rabbit hole

Alt+Shift+P parks the current tab in your Later list. The interesting thing waits, and you go back to the bug.

    Park it: how it works
  • Start from the address bar

Type “rt 50 fix login bug” in Chrome’s address bar for a 50-minute session, or press Alt+Shift+S to repeat your last goal.

    Quick start: how it works
  • Editor time is never “drifting”

When Chrome isn’t the app in front, the session pauses. Writing code in your editor never counts against you.

    Auto-pause: how it works
  • A note for tomorrow’s you

End a session with “what’s next?”, and the next time you type that goal, DoppiNow shows where you left off.

Note for future you: how it works

A setup to try

  • Pick a world that fits.Space & Engineering is a lift-off; Business takes a startup from garage to launch. The rules are the same in each.
  • Keep your hands on the keyboard.“rt 25 review the PR” starts a session; Alt+Shift+P parks a tab.
  • Name the ticket.“Fix OAuth redirect bug” gives DoppiNow more to match than “work”.

Quick answers

Does it track my editor or terminal?

No. DoppiNow lives in Chrome and, during a session, looks only at the tab in front of you. When another app is in front, the session pauses.

Will it remind me on my docs or my repo?

Not once they’re on your “Part of my work” list: sites on it never get a reminder. Without the list, DoppiNow checks them against your goal like any other page.

Does it see what I browse?

Your game lives in your browser, and your account keeps session summaries, never the pages you visited. During a session, and only if you allow smarter page checks, a few details about the tab in front of you are checked against your goal. The full text of a page is never sent. See Privacy by design.

Does it work in Edge or Brave?

DoppiNow is built for desktop Chrome 120 or newer. Other Chromium browsers, such as Edge or Brave, may also work. There’s no phone app.
