Task splitter
The task splitter is a free web tool on doppinow.com that turns a big task into a checklist of tiny steps. When you're online, DoppiNow's server asks an AI service to write steps for your exact task. Offline, or when that takes too long, 22 built-in recipes make the steps instead. Choose ๐ถ๏ธ Small (about 4 steps), ๐ถ๏ธ๐ถ๏ธ Smaller (about 6) or ๐ถ๏ธ๐ถ๏ธ๐ถ๏ธ Tiny (8 or more).

All the details
Type the task (up to 120 characters) or tap an example, pick a size, then press "Split it".
The task goes to DoppiNow's server, which removes email addresses and long numbers and asks an AI service for 4, 6 or 8 short steps that start with a small physical action. The server checks every step (plain text, no links, at most 100 characters) and keeps the steps for up to an hour, so the same task gets the same steps. The task itself isn't stored or logged. A soft placeholder shows while you wait.
Offline, after about 8 seconds, or when the server is busy, built-in recipes make the steps: email, applications, bills, calls, code, design, study, laundry, dishes, cleaning, cooking, shopping, exercise, paperwork, packing and moving, planning and travel, writing, errands, repairs, self-care, getting ready for interviews, meetings and talks, and pets. Many have variants, such as exam, reading, homework or memorizing for study. A general recipe covers everything else.
Tick steps off, with a small celebration for each and a bigger one when all are done. You can edit steps, move them up or down, delete them (with Undo) and add your own, up to 20.
"Start now" shows your next unticked step with a link to the 10-minute timer. Copy, Print, Split another and Clear are below the list, and Clear can be undone.

Why it helps with ADHD
A CHADD resource says "The best approach to learning a complex task is to break it down into smaller steps and tackle these steps one at a time" (CHADD). An adult ADHD programme taught that if you can't get started, "the first step is too big" (Solanto et al. 2010).
No study has tested DoppiNow itself. DoppiNow is a productivity tool, not a treatment for ADHD.
