Rest days and vacation mode

Rest days and vacation mode is how you tell DoppiNow which days you're planning not to focus. On those days your streak simply waits: missing one never breaks it or uses a streak saver, and focusing on one still counts.

How it works

  1. Pick rest days

Settings β†’ Game β†’ β€œRest days and vacations”: tick any weekdays.

  2. Plan a vacation

Pick From and Until dates. With only an end date, it starts today.

  3. Your streak waits

Rest days never break the streak or use a streak saver.

  4. Focus still counts

Focusing on a rest day still counts as a streak day.

All the details
  1. In Settings β†’ Your world β†’ "Rest days", tick any weekdays (Mon–Sun).

  2. For a vacation, pick the first and the last day under "Vacation", and "End vacation" stops it early.

  3. A vacation needs both dates. One saved with only an end date (by an older version) is left out, so it can never cover every day before it.

  4. Rest days between two streak days don't count as missed.

  5. The popup's streak count skips rest days too.

  6. The streak on the dashboard follows the same rule, as of your last synced session.

Settings: Settings β†’ Your world. By default there are no rest days and no vacation.

Why it helps with ADHD

In a habit study, missing one opportunity "did not materially affect the habit formation process" (Lally et al. 2010). Broken streaks lower engagement less when people can repair them (Silverman & Barasch 2023).

No study has tested DoppiNow itself. DoppiNow is a productivity tool, not a treatment for ADHD.
