How it works
It spots the feeds
YouTube Shorts, Instagram and Facebook Reels, and every TikTok page.
They count as away
During a session they count as unrelated, right after your own marks and site lists.
A pause first
With the doorway pause on, you first see βA pause before short videosβ.
Back to your video
If a video turned into Shorts, βBack to where you wereβ reopens it at the second you left.
All the details
It recognises youtube.com/shorts pages, every tiktok.com page, and instagram.com and facebook.com reel pages.
With the rule on, these pages count as unrelated right after your own marks and site lists, before any other check.
If the doorway pause is on, opening a short-video feed during a session first shows "A pause before short videos".
If a YouTube video turns into Shorts in the same tab, "Back to where you were" reopens the video at the second you left (see Back to where you were).
With the rule off, these pages go through the normal check.

Short-video rule: common questions
What if a Short is actually part of my work?
Mark it "It's related" for this session, or turn the rule off.
Does DoppiNow block Shorts or TikTok?
No. It reminds you of your goal and may show a short breathing pause first. You can always continue.
