Recent goals

Recent goals is a row of up to three chips in the popup. Each one fills in a goal you used lately, along with its session length. On your very first visit, two example goals take their place.

How it works

  1. See your chips

With the goal box empty, up to 3 recent goals wait as chips, newest first.

  2. Tap one

A tap fills in the goal and its length: 10, 25, 50 or 90 minutes, or ∞.

  3. Press start

You still press start (or Enter), so nothing begins by surprise.

  4. New here?

Before you have history, two examples show: β€œπŸ“š Study” and β€œβœ… Finish a task”.

All the details
  1. When the goal box is empty, the popup shows up to 3 chips, newest first, one per goal. The same goal typed in other letter cases is one chip, showing its newest spelling. Each reads "β†Ί goal" with a length tag such as "25m" or "∞".

  2. Tapping a chip fills in the goal and sets its length, rounded to the nearest of 10, 25, 50 or 90 minutes, or open-ended. You still press start to begin.

  3. The chips hide while you type. DoppiNow remembers your last 6 started goals.

  4. Before you have any history, the chips are examples: "πŸ“š Study" and "βœ… Finish a task".

Settings: Always on.

Design choice (no direct study): fewer decisions before you start.

Recent goals: common questions

Does a chip start the session right away?

No. It fills in the goal and the length, and you press start (or Enter). For a true one-key start, use Alt+Shift+S.

How many goals does DoppiNow remember?

Your last 6 started goals, plus the goals of your last 30 sessions. The popup shows up to 3, and the address bar suggests up to 4.
