Page ripple

The page ripple is DoppiNow's signature visual nudge. While you stay on an unrelated page after a reminder, the whole page sways like water. It grows a little with each reminder and settles as soon as you head back to your goal.

How it works

  1. It starts with a reminder

The page sways like water while the reminder card stays sharp and readable.

  2. It grows gently

Each reminder makes it a little bigger: 36, then 50, 64 and 80 pixels.

  3. Three modes

    โ€œWhile I stay on the pageโ€ (default), โ€œOnly while remindingโ€ (about 6 seconds) or โ€œOffโ€.

  4. It calms when you return

It settles as soon as you go back, take a break or end the session. Reduced motion always turns it off.

All the details
  1. It starts with the reminder card. The page ripples while the card stays sharp and readable.

  2. The ripple grows with each reminder: 36, then 50, then 64, then 80 pixels.

  3. There are three modes:

    • "While I stay on the page", the default, keeps rippling while you stay.
    • "Only while reminding" ripples for about 6 seconds per reminder.
    • "Off".
  4. It never shows when your device asks for reduced motion. It also stops for printing, keeps a page's own filters (such as a dark-mode extension), and slows itself down on heavy pages to stay light.

  5. It calms down when you go back, take a break or end the session.
