Which one fits you?
Choose DoppiNow if…
- You mostly focus on a computer, in Chrome.
- Being locked out makes you anxious, or you need “distracting” sites like YouTube for real work.
- You love lots of small rewards: XP every minute, combos, boxes and badges.
- You’d rather earn a comeback bonus than lose a tree.
- You want to see the focus you reclaim after a distraction (the Comeback ring).
Choose Forest if…
- Your phone is the main distraction. Forest has iPhone, iPad and Android apps.
- A firm commitment helps you. Deep Focus can’t be switched off mid-session.
- You like focusing with friends in Plant Together.
- Planting real trees motivates you.
Or use both. Forest on your phone, DoppiNow in your browser. They cover different screens.
Quick answers
Is DoppiNow a good Forest alternative for Chrome?
If you want a game in your browser without blocking, yes. DoppiNow rewards every focused minute with XP and nudges you back when you drift. If you want your phone locked down, Forest’s apps do that and DoppiNow doesn’t.
Does DoppiNow kill anything if I stop early?
No. Nothing dies, and you keep the XP you earned. Your combo cools a little while you’re away, coming back pays +25 XP (the first 8 times per session), and the focus after it counts toward your Comeback ring.
Does DoppiNow work on my phone?
Not yet. DoppiNow is a browser extension for desktop Chrome 120 or newer (other Chromium browsers such as Edge or Brave may also work).
